Les larves de ce ver sont transport\u00e9es d\u2019un conif\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019autre par des insectes qui deviennent porteurs du n\u00e9matode si leur d\u00e9veloppement s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 dans un arbre contamin\u00e9. Pr\u00e9sent en Asie, o\u00f9 il a provoqu\u00e9 des d\u00e9g\u00e2ts consid\u00e9rables, le n\u00e9matode du pin est arriv\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui dans le sud de l\u2019Europe.
