Elle est transmise \u00e0 l\u2019homme \u00e0 l\u2019occasion d\u2019un simple contact cutan\u00e9 avec l\u2019eau dans des plans et cours d\u2019eau o\u00f9 vivent des mollusques gast\u00e9ropodes d\u2019eau douce, les bulins, infest\u00e9s et lib\u00e9rant des larves dans l\u2019eau. Suite au signalement de cas group\u00e9s de bilharziose autochtone en Corse du Sud, dus \u00e0 <em>Schistosoma haematobium<\/em>, l\u2019Anses a \u00e9t\u00e9 saisie afin d\u2019\u00e9valuer le risque de contamination humaine par ce parasite en France continentale pour pouvoir d\u00e9gager rapidement des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de ma\u00eetrise des risques. Dans cet objectif, l\u2019Agence a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une expertise sur l\u2019\u00e9cologie du bulin. Son travail d\u2019expertise a amen\u00e9 l\u2019Agence \u00e0 recommander d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir des connaissances sur ces mollusques afin de dresser un \u00e9tat des lieux de leur pr\u00e9sence dans les plans et cours d\u2019eau propices \u00e0 leur d\u00e9veloppement. Ces connaissances sont indispensables pour \u00e9tablir un profil des plans et cours d\u2019eau susceptibles de r\u00e9unir les conditions favorisant l\u2019installation \u00e9ventuelle d\u2019un foyer de transmission de <em>S. haematobium<\/em>.
